[UPDATED X 2] It's really interesting to me that all the talking heads were saying, yesterday (and before), that if Hillary Clinton did not win Pennsylvania by "double digits," her campaign is finished.
This morning, all the major news outlets are reporting that Clinton won by 10%. 10% is obviously double digits, but who's doing the math here. Here's how I do the math: | Clinton | 1,234,547.00 | 54.250% | | Obama | 1,041,136.00 | 45.750% | total | 2,275,683.00 | 8.499% | I got these numbers from the Pennyslvania Secretary of State's website. (Click here.) [UPDATE #1: So the results in the chart above are with something like 99% of the results in. Here are updated (99.34%) numbers from the Pa SOS: | Clinton | 1,237,696.00 | 54.264% | | Obama | 1,043,174.00 | 45.736% | | total | 2,280,870.00 | 8.528% |
Still, Clinton wins by 8.5%. Or 9%, if you round up.] [Update #2: Here are the results with 99.51% of the precincts reporting: | Hillary Clinton | 1,238,232.00 | 54.573% | | Barack Obama | 1,030,703.00 | 45.427% | | total | 2,268,935.00 | 9.147% |
So it's over 9%. Still not double digits. Could still change.] So, Clinton wins by 10%? No. Or am I missing something? Clinton wins by 8.5%. If you want to do a bunch of rounding (up), Clinton wins by 9%. Last time I checked, 8.5 (or 9) isn't "double digits." Why are all the talking heads heralding a 10% win by Clinton in Pennsylvania this morning?

I am far beyond believing what I see and hear on the news and I am sure that many of those who read the decoder are feeling the same.
When you have Laura Bush co-hosting the today show and George offering "deals" on Deal or no Deal, you know that things are messed up.
I don't know where to get good solid news except online. CommonDreams. Truthout and AlterNet are a few that I go to. I am sure there are more but for most people it is just easier to grab the remote, turn to Fox News and belive what they hear.
Something else that really bothers me is that we are in the middle of a war. There is barely a daily TV news report on it. I know that locally there isn't. I do watch the local news but even that is usually half the story. Print news is not much better but at least you get a bit more.
Will this change with a new administration or will it get worse? Hard to say but if you really want the truth in the news you have to seek it out, not just turn on the TV or the radio
