Press release...
Taylor is running for Governor to pilot the state through a time of incredible opportunities and very real challenges. “Our state is changing more than it has in any of our lifetimes. North Dakota now needs a leader who will address the needs of all our citizens while investing in a future that gives our children and grandchildren a chance for a better life.
“We want everyone to know that we are in this race and launching a campaign where everyone's voice will be heard and respected," says Taylor.
Following the holiday season, Taylor plans to embark on a multi-city tour of the state.
"There will be plenty of time to talk politics and policies after the Christmas season. Like many North Dakotans, my family and I will be spending this time focusing on friends and family, worship and contemplation, and giving thanks for all that gives meaning and direction to our lives," Taylor said.
“As we move forward, we'll have much to discuss in this time of transformation and opportunity for North Dakota, and we will not gloss over the challenges that face our state and its communities. But, for today, I officially throw my hat in the ring and wish everyone a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
Ryan Taylor is presently serving his third term as state Senator of District 7, writes the syndicated column “Cowboy Logic”, and manages his fourth-generation family ranch near Towner, ND. He and his wife, Nikki, have three young children: Marshall, 7; Olav, 5; and Sylvia, 3.

... It would be nice to have a Governor that has a clue for once. It seems like one of our former Governors doesn't even know what states and provinces border North Dakota: http://hoeven.senate.gov/publi...kota-facts |
... I see that the website is fixed. I wonder if they read this blog by any chance. . . . |
... I dunno. He's kind of missing that "I'm rich and I work for my Dad" thing that so impresses North Dakota voters. |
... . . . and he didn't graduate from Dartmouth or Yale. And I don't think NDSU is in the Ivy League. |
... He's a bright spot for the Democrats but he's going to have to really gear his message to the masses. As Minority Leader, I think he has been ineffective at talking about the Democrats success in the Senate. He has been completely UNSUPPORTIVE about the concerns of surface owners in oil country. |
