Written by Chet

BirdBird:  Stuffed, dressed, in the oven.  21Lbs.

Lots to be thankful for.

Thanks for a safe, enjoyable drive yesterday.

Thanks for friends (new and old) and family.

Thanks for good music.

Thanks for good books.

Thanks for this hot (okay... warm) cup of decaf coffee.

Thanks for the beautiful view out the window here in the wooded hills of Wisconsin.

Thanks for all the opportunities.

Thanks for another successful year of blogging.

Thanks for a positive, blue-trending outcome in the recent election.

Thanks for not having to go to a shopping mall this weekend.

What are you thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you at Northdecoder!! I am still thankful for the same things...update...my mother is not speaking to me because I am a democrat and voted for Obama!! That aside, I am still thankful she is with us and healthy. (cant say the same for her husband, who thinks George Bush walks on water)

Update...we are still underdogs but I am thankful that we have a new President and maybe the tables will turn, if only just a little bit. I am thankful for Barack Obama and his beautiful family.

I am thankful my son found a job he loves and now lives in his own apartment. I am thankful my oldest did not get injured in a fire in her apartment a few weeks ago. Not thankful that Rick Berg is a slumlord. (he is going to get an earful when I see him in Bismarck during the session)

I am thankful my youngest is still paying hockey and on Tuesday she scored her first varsity goal!! She plays defense and scored from the point. How cool is that??? Not thankful because I was working and missed the game!! I am not thankful for her it's all about me attitude but that will pass!!

Chet, I am thankful for your passion for seeking the truth. In the words of Matthew McConaughey in "A Time to Kill"...In all this legal maneuvering...something got lost, that something is the truth...it is incumbent upon us lawyers not to just talk about the truth but to actually seek it, to find it, to live it " You have done that, along with many others. Thank you for that.

Don't eat too much turkey, tofurkey or whatever your Thanksgiving meal of choice is. Oh ya, I am thankful that North Dakota is finally getting Fat Tire!!

Peace

I brought a 12 of FT to Wisconsin because I didn't know if they had it here yet.

Your post made me immediately think of a funny line on MyDD today:

Thank you, Sarah Palin, for driving my never voted for a Democrat in her life Mom to cast her ballot for Barack Obama this year.
MyDD

I need a different turkey baster. This one sucks.

Scratch that.

This one doesn't suck.

Fat Tire
Fargo has it in the liquor stores and some bars (Dempsey's and Paridisio that I know of) have it. Anyone know of anywhere else? Much better on tap. smilies/cool.gif

I'm thankful to have some informative reading on this website. Although that is not the first and only thing that I am thankful for but you deserve a lot of credit for bringing many issues to viewers and bloggers of North Dakota. Thanks Chet, for doing the service that you do.
p.s. Since I like to stir the pot, and hopefully get your interest, the latest story about Neil Whittey and LAS International deserves some attention. This guy chairs the North Dakota District Export Council, and appears that he is another modern day "Robbing Hood". Stealing from the poor and giving to the rich. Must be the "birds of a feather" thing in this state

I am thankful for the fact that my conscience is clear, unlike workers at WSI.

I am thankful I am not related to anyone that works at WSI that I would have to claim.

I am thankful that Chet has this site.

I am thankful that I have such a great family.

I am thankful that I have such true friends.

I am thankful that so many people voted for measure 4.

God bless you all on this holiday, enjoy the family time.

Everywhere!
Fat Tire is everywhere. Happy Harry's, Grazie's, Crown Liquors, Rooters, Bismarck has a neon sign for Fat Tire. I haven't been turned down on it anywhere I have asked for it in the past month or two.

So here's what I am thankful for:

My beautiful girlfriend, who traveled all the way from Chicago to see me this week

A loving family,

Food on my table,

Chad's passion for blogging and holding our leaders accountable

That he let me tag along to Denver

That the guys I saw nominated there are heading to the White House in 52 days, 10 hours, 55 minutes and...50 seconds

That George Bush and Dick Cheney are leaving the White House in 52 days, 10 hours, 51 minutes and 45.2 seconds. That phrase is like wine. It gets better with time.

For senators-elect Kay Hagan, Mark Udall, Tom Udall, Jeff Merkey, Jean Shaheen, Mark Begich, and Mark Warner.

For this fantastic community and the series of tubes that Al Gore invented that allows us to come together.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Fat Tire info is wrong, right?
Adam- where can you get Fat Tire in Bismarck?

From what I heard there's an east coast-west coast liquor distro war going on and Fat Tire isn't getting any farther west than Jamestown. There are actual state laws being broken in the process too.

Maybe I'm wrong tho...

I don't know about the availability of Fat Tire in Bismarck, but I believe Adam is referring to The Bismarck Tavern in downtown Fargo.

I agee with Steve C. that LAS International should be looked into. Many investors, employees and companies have been hurt by the closing of this company.
