On November 16th at 10:50 a.m., I sent an instant message to Adam Blomeke.  Here is a screen grab of that instant message.

From today's news...

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A top aide to North Dakota U.S. Sen. John Hoeven is being named to the state Public Service Commission, two state government officials told The Associated Press on Friday.

Julie Fedorchak will succeed Kevin Cramer on the state regulatory board, the state officials with firsthand knowledge of the appointment said. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to discuss the matter before Gov. Jack Dalrymple's official announcement, which is expected Friday afternoon.

Seattle Post Intelligencer

Do I have wiretaps in the Governor's residence?

Do I have a mole working in the Governor's office?

How could I have possibly known that on November 16th, two full weeks before the announcement was made?

Go ahead and ask me how I knew.

The articles are hysterical. Here's the name, folks, but we can't confirm because the Governor hasn't officially announced it yet.

Was it her insightful blog post about how Sarah Palin was a good pick to be John McCain's running mate? ... that Palin was a "feisty, sensible, relatable candidate we want but were beginning to believe could not exist in today's political culture"? (click here)

Nope. That wasn't it.

If your so good at political predictions, how come your party keeps picking big-time losers in statewide races?

I mean, we have some seriously sub-par GOP office holders and the ND Dems make them look almost smart.

How stupid is this question?
Your question and statement are stupid, it's going to be hard to respond. Your assumption seems to be that me predicting an outcome is somehow equal to me having the ability to get a Democrat elected in North Dakota in any (or every) given race under the current circumstances. I really want to believe you're smart enough to recognize how stupid your question is. Maybe I'm giving you too much of the benefit of the doubt.

And your statement? You are saying it's Democrats who make corrupt, incompetent Republicans "almost look smart"? This may be too hard for you to wrap your brain around, but... riddle me this: Do you think that maybe there's something between the "ND Dems" and the public that might get in the way of Dems showing how "not smart" and "corrupt" Republicans are?

Maybe... I don't know... the Press?

I think what you're saying -- without having any idea you are saying it -- is that North Dakota Democrats need to buy newspapers in every city and all the TV and radio stations so they can get their message out like the Republicans have very effectively done over the past 25 years.

I don't think that's a bad idea. That said, I don't think you have any idea what you're taking about.

Your statement is really mean and hurts my tender feelings. However, you know I'm looking for a fight after this election. I'm really amazed at how actually paralyzed the ND Democratic Party is. Yeah, keep blaming it on the press; don't blame anything on Taylor's complete "Satrom-esque" do-nothing campaign. What do you expect the press to report when there is no message?

Crabtree had lots of press, Heidi had press. I mean your assumption that the right-wing press machine ignored your party is only true to the point the campaign actually had a message. Potter, no message, Mushik, ah, never heard a single thing about him. The UND professor who ran for whatever, nothing in the press whatsover. No message=no press.

But, this argument is for another thread so I am going to make you look smart and ask a question I already know the answer to: How did you know that Julie would be appointed to the PSC?

I'm curious, is this the same Adam Blomeke that used to work at a place called SEI back in 2006?

I know the answer. The earth cannot possibly be more than 6500 years old. All this stuff about rocks being millions of years old is merely the atheistic academics and science guys trying to force their agenda on us. Ask Julie. She knows.

What a state!!!!! We replace a nutjob and a phony with another right wing bible thumping idiot. Predictable. Jack and John hand this stuff out as not only rewards but it keeps the nut jobs in line while they plunder even more. And the Julies are content and feel that they have been heard.

To Big Running, over the past decade or so, the vast majority of Democratic candidates have been far superior to the Republicans. Take a look at the geniuses running our state. The real Democratic failure began a long time ago. They were convinced that they needed to look more Republican to get votes. The hell with standing for something. That folly is in full bloom. Heidi won, thankfully, simply because she got the womens vote, the RR valley vote, and Berg was just not likeable. He could not hold enough of the sensible Republicans in spite of the fact that their numbers are shrinking. Our state will continue to be governed poorly until the Democrats find their footing and start to act like men and women with conviction. A few did this in this cycle, not loud enough but a beginning. They lost. It will take time to shed ourselves of this idiotic right wing tea party reactionary looneys. It always does.
